JOSHUA KORENBLAT
Joshua Korenblat is an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at the State University of New York at New Paltz. Joshua has an MFA in Interdisciplinary Visual Art from the Maryland Institute College of Art, an MA in Teaching from Brown University, an MA in Writing from Johns Hopkins University, and a dual degree BFA and BA from Washington University in St. Louis. Joshua has seven years of experience in the Art Department at National Geographic Magazine and Science News, and he is a co-founder and Art Director at Graphicacy, a Washington, DC-based design firm. Joshua researches and teaches about data visualization, information design, and illustration. Working with conceptual and data-driven content, Joshua explores and represents complex topics in visual form through drawing, visualization frameworks, and writing. Guided by curiosity, designers place themselves at the center of content-rich exchanges of ideas.
